My name is Melissa Pelletier and I am a writer, editor, and artist from Lindenhurst, NY.
I have written articles on topics in Education for a variety of publishers, usually about technology or innovations in the classroom. I earned a MA in Educational Communication and Technology from NYU in 2011. I pursued that degree to blend my love of media and storytelling with mission-driven and educational organizations. My fiction writing is mostly short satire pieces that I am proud to say have been featured in a variety of publications, and I do have a few longer stories in the works.
For my Editing services, I have worked for individuals and publishers as a copy editor, for both short works, and longer manuscripts. My largest editing project was over 100,000 words! I have enjoyed tackling genres from non-fiction to fantasy-science fiction novels.
In 2020, I began pursuing an old hobby of mine, creating artwork. Since then I have created hundreds of pieces. My artwork is whimsical, nostalgic, and often full of macabre charm. Pastels are my chosen medium and non-traditional subjects are my favorite choice to explore. I have exhibited my work locally and have won a few awards in local art competitions.
